Four Stars! Time Out New York

This farcical romp takes us behind the scenes of a community theatre, where the crew watches the backstage drama unfold from their van parked by the stage door. Dobson's play circles around outlandish and distinct characters such as: Eric, (the petulant nephew of the theatre's board member) whose envisions Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly! as a pimp; Daniel, a dancing fool who is excited at the prospect of creating a musical about mimes in which nobody sings; and Meredith, who fancies herself a diva on the verge of stardom. This madcap comedy brings quirky theatre wannabes to life from a unique perspective. The play ends with the tired, ulcer-plagued Artistic Director passing the torch to a new visionary.

"An amusing, energetic jolt that skewers pretentious concept directors yet has a soft spot for actors and technicians." - Backstage

Two on the Aisle, Three in a Van was first presented by at the FringeNYC Festival in New York City in 2009.
