FREE College Audition Prep Workshop and Book Signing with Chelsea Cipolla and John West (Authors of Admit One\: Ten Steps to Choosing your Acting or Musical Theatre College Program)

Workshop and book signing that will help you with your acting or musical theatre college audition process.
In this workshop\, Chelsea and John will take students step by step through making the decision on which school/program fits you\, how to choose the degree\, and on how to truly get the most out of your college experience. Not sure whether to get a BFA or BA? City or Campus? Conservatory or Liberal Arts? All of these issues will be addressed. Chelsea and John will also discuss the audition portion – audience members will learn how to pick\, find and approach appropriate audition material for all college auditions.
Chelsea Cipolla is a New York-based actress\, acting coach\, and career consultant. Chelsea graduated from Emerson College in Boston\, MA with a BA in acting and theatre education. After graduating\, Chelsea returned to Emerson to help teach their Summer Arts Academy for three years. Chelsea can be found on-stage in the city and on-screen in numerous print ads and commercials. Chelsea resides on the Upper East Side with her King Charles Cavalier puppy\, Cooper. Chelsea is the founder of My College Audition - a resource for high school students looking to obtain a degree in theatre\, musical theatre or music at the collegiate level. My College Audition students are coached in monologue selection/preparation\, dance preparation\, resume/headshot/self marketing\, and general audition preparation. Past acceptances include\: University of Michigan\, Emerson College\, Boston University\, Syracuse University\, Ithaca College\, Fordham University\, Pace University\, Boston Conservatory\, Marymount Manhattan College\, New York University\, and many more.
John West is an actor and college consultant who has appeared in leading roles in New York\, on national tours\, and regionally. John attended the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts and holds a BFA in musical theatre from Northern Kentucky University. While touring for three years\, he cultivated his passion for mentoring high school students in theatre by conducting workshops across the United States and Canada on the college selection process. He has accrued extensive knowledge of the theatre programs and faculty across the country through active participation in national conferences and frequent visits to countless schools. He now serves as a proud staff member of the Open Jar Institute founded by director Jeff Whiting - New York City's most Broadway-integrated actor training program in Musical Theatre.
