David Ives at the Drama Book Shop
Playwright, adapter, translator, musical bookwriter, children's book author, Encores! regular, DAVID IVES, will read from his recently published translation of Pierre Corneille's The Liar as well as some tantalizing sections of his book-length narrative poem, The Phobia Clinic. Ives' adaptation of The Liar, a brilliant verse comedy from 1643 about a charming young pathological liar, was an enormous hit this past spring at The Shakespeare Theatre Company of Washington. The Phobia Clinic, a full-length narrative poem, relates the harrowing journey of a Dante-esque narrator through the coils of a clinic designed to counter (or perhaps encourage) fear. Nine years in the writing, The Phobia Clinic was privately published in a signed, numbered, limited edition only available from the Drama Book Shop and from the author. Mr. Ives will also engage in a Q&A with the audience and sign copies of his books. A rare opportunity to meet this writer up close and personally following his New York hit this past season, Venus in Fur, and preceding his next show in town, The School For Lies, coming to Classic Stage Company next spring.

David Ivesis perhaps best known for his evenings of one-act comedies: All In The Timing and Time Flies. All In The Timing won the Outer Critics Circle Playwriting Award and ran for two years Off-Broadway. His full-length plays include Venus in Fur, which recently enjoyed a vast critical and audience success Off-Broadway; New Jerusalem: The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza, which won the prestigious Hull-Warriner Award and was presented by Washington's Theatre J this spring; Is He Dead? (adapted from Mark Twain); Irving Berlin's White Christmas; Polish Joke; and Ancient History. He has translated Feydeau's classic farce A Flea In Her Ear as well as Yazmina Rez's drama A Spanish Play, and has adapted 28 musical for Encores!. He is also the author of three young-adult novels, Monsieur Eek, Scrib, and Voss. A graduate of Yale School of Drama and a former Guggenheim Fellow in playwriting, he lives in New York City.

The researchers claim that this inflammation of the hair follicle can lead to central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia. The central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia is also known as a scarring hair loss. This particular kind of balding starts at top of the scalp. Once this partial balding has started it will spread to the entire scalp. buy tramadol online soma
