Watch emerging and emerged playwrights, book writers and lyricists create new work right in front of your eyes.

During two hour time slots, a writer or writer's team will write a new play in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop with a screen shot of their computer projected behind them, visible to the street. See writers create new worlds, find inspiration and try to avoid Facebook (or not). Come see playwrights from shows coming up or currently playing at venues around town including the NY International Fringe Festival. Support and engage the writers via Twitter and FB , follow their careers, see the play and someday, when you're watching the Tonys, Lilys or Academy Awards, you can say you were there.

Micheline Auger 's first play POOP- A TRUE STORY, was based on her experience being hired as an art object in a NYC gallery and won an Audience Favorite Award in the 2003 NY Fringe Festival. Her work has been developed or produced by Primary Stages, Westside Theatre, Miranda Theatre, Horsetrade Theatre Co, IATI, NY International Fringe Festival, Sam French Festival, Riot Act Theatre, Sugarspace, and Highways Performance Complex among others. She regularly interviews theater artists for the theater blog, Theaterspeak, is a founding member of the 15th Floor Playwrights Collective, and a proud member of The Dramatist Guild.
