How can an Elvis impersonator become a winning drag queen in the Florida Panhandle? With an empty bank account and pregnant wife, Casey’s going to have to answer that question fast in this music-filled comedy about finding your true voice.
Playwright Matthew Lopez (The Whipping Man) and director Mike Donahue (The Wolfe Twins) make their MCC Theater debuts with The Legend of Georgia McBride in a production not to be missed featuring choreography by Paul McGill (Hedwig...), set design by Tony® Winner Donyale Werle (Peter and the Starcatcher), costumes by Anita Yavich (Venus in Fur), hair and makeup by Jason Hayes (Casa Valentina), lighting by Ben Stanton (Fun Home) and sound design by Jill DuBoff (Hand to God).

Some off-Broadway queens are sticking around to serve more fish. Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride has extended its run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The MCC production, directed by Mike Donahue and starring Heathers alum Dave Thomas Brown, will now run through October 11.
