The Tutor by Kate Mulley - August 7, 2016

Full Length Play- 2f, 3m

Lots of great monologues for women and 2-person scenes for teens, 20s, 30s and 40s.

Meredith is a Yale Law School graduate turned SAT tutor with a secret. In addition to coaching high school students in the ways of time management and sentence construction, she sells her used lingerie online. In a world where one wrong click can end your career or relationship, can Meredith continue to maintain her mystery or will her precarious fantasy turn on her? A timely new play about colliding worlds and what happens when one's virtual life meets reality. The Tutor premiered in the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival and has subsequently been translated into Mandarin and performed in China

PRAISE...

"The Tutor is a contemporary, creepy comidrama about sex, education, and power. Sure to be part of the creme de la Fringe's creme." -TheatreIsEasy

"The characters that populate the play are bright, comically human, and rendered in three dimensions... Particularly moving are the bittersweet beats between Meredith and Greg who care for each other but cannot, of course, ever be a couple." California Literary Review
