A Creative Conversation with SIX The Musical

Join us at the Drama Book Shop for an in-person conversation with Resident Director, Benita de Wit, and Associate Costume Designer, Amanda Jenks, from SIX The Musical! We are so happy to meet them and hear all about the behind the scenes world of SIX The Musical.
Amanda Jenks – Associate Costume Designer
Amanda is an NYIT Award-nominated costume designer and a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is the associate costume designer on SIX The Musical for all three North American companies and the two Norwegian Cruise Line productions. Past Broadway shows include Be More Chill, The Play That Goes Wrong, School of Rock, The Cher Show, and An American in Paris among others. She is incredibly passionate about clothing and history and loves nothing more than to spend her days surrounded by both.
Benita de Wit – Resident Director
Benita de Wit (they/them) is a New York-based Australian director and the Resident Director for SIX The Musical. Most recently they were the Assistant Director for Straight Line Crazy starring Ralph Fiennes as Robert Moses. Previous credits include The Moors (Theatre Row), The Laramie Project (Pace University), Slaughterhouse (Belvoir St Theatre), Razorhurst (Hayes Theatre Co), Salty (Access Theatre) and Bat Out of Hell (New York City Center, US & UK tours, Associate Director). Benita has directed multidisciplinary projects with new music collective Kinds of Kings, a music video for Tenderheart Bitches and two documentary projects with Long Island University. Benita has an MFA in Directing from Columbia University and is on faculty at Circle in the Square Theatre School.
