When I saw this play, I was totally speechless for some time after. Breathtaking in scope yet piercing in its humanity, this is not your everyday well-made play. Its 200-year sweep makes you feel that the story of these three families is your story. Whether your family immigrated 200 years ago or 200 days, The Kentucky Cycle reminds us (and boy do we need it) that we're almost all immigrants. We are connected to each other and to our pasts, and Schenkkan will both frighten and comfort you with this notion.
Oh yeah. It also won the Pulitzer. Read it.
Characters: The play is in two parts, encompassing nine short plays. At most - 14M, 6W.
