Saturday Night by Jerome Kass

Saturday is the perfect and only escape from the tedium of Rochelle & Ellie's lives. They swap stories about men, gossip about co-workers, and live out a life that is otherwise foreign to them. Their night is a sacred release.

Rochelle would like nothing more than to be an artist. She lives in a world that is pure fantasy and philosophy. Eventually, though, she is forced to face a harsh reality and come to terms with her life as it is.

This play’s scenes are delicious and its dialogue superb. The end of Act One has one of the finest scenes for two young women that I have ever read
